Bioluminescence – Intertidal Walk

Night walks in the intertidal zone. Discover some of the wonderful creatures that come out under the cover of darkness. Explore some of the tidal pools close to shore and see things in a new light. Duration: 2 -2.5 hrs. Terrain: Easy to moderate. Distance: 1-3 km

Step off the beach and onto the seabed exposed by the falling tide. Forget about the troubles of life for a few hours and focus on just being, under the night sky, surrounded by supremely adapted creatures and feel your senses coming alive.

Wear wellies to keep your feet dry, particularly during the cooler months, and dress for the weather. Wellies and waterproofs are available free of charge and must be reserved during the booking process. UV torches are also provided to ensure you get the most out of these night time excursions. Group sizes are limited to minimise any damage caused during the walk. Age restrictions apply. No dogs are permitted.
