Intertidal Walk to La Sambue Sandbank

Accessible for only a few hours at the lowest tides of the year, this is a wild place and somehow feels further offshore than it is. This is a lovely walk out into the rocky intertidal zone, and onto the sand bank of La Sambue. Discover some of the creatures that have adapted to life in the harsh intertidal zone and tick this off your bucket list of local walks.
This guided walk is not suitable for children. A good level of fitness and an ability to keep up a good walking pace over several hours is required. Situated to the south east of Green Island, the massive rocks of the Sambue stand above all other geological formations in the area. This walk will take participants out onto the large sand banks to the east of these rocks, which form lagoon at low tide.
No dogs are permitted. Wellies are recommended, especially during cooler months. Wellies and waterproofs are available and these must be reserved during the booking process. For more information about the walk and booking, please check online.
