Moonlight Seymour – Intertidal Walk

Step off the shore under the light of the moon and walk through the lunar-like rocky intertidal to the iconic landmark, Seymour Tower, that stands like a sentinel more than 1 mile (2km) off the south east coast of the island.

On moonlit nights, the walk out to Seymour can be spectacular. This is a bucket list walk for locals and visitors alike. On clear nights, the Milky Way pops overhead, and if you are lucky you might spot shooting stars too! Walk like a heron, as we use torches to see some of the plethora of animals that go about their lives under the cover of darkness when the tide goes out. Participants must be able to walk unaided for several hours over sand, gravel and through water, and these walks are not suitable for children under 16, and no dogs are permitted.
