Intertidal Walks

Intertidal Walks

Explore the rocky intertidal zone and discover some of the richly diverse and supremely adapted marine life that is uncovered by one of the largest tidal ranges in the world, by day and under the cover of darkness.

There are a range of walks on offer with an experienced guide; from inshore bimbles to offshore adventures out to remote locations that are only exposed for short periods at the lowest tides of the year.

If you are looking for a stroll out to Seymour Tower, a hike out to the Karame Beacon, or an night adventure to see the bioluminescent glow-worms and other creatures that come out after dark, there are plenty of walks to choose from throughout the year.

A limited stock of wellies and waterproofs are available free of charge, for use during walks, which can be reserved during the booking process to ensure that they are ready at the venue ahead of the walk. Private walks may also be possible, depending on the tides and availability. T&Cs.
