Join Ensemble Baroque de Rennes on a journey to the New World. Follow in the musical footsteps of the ‘Les Filles du Roy’ or ‘The Kings' Princesses’: the orphans of Brittany who, in the seventeenth century, were married to men across the ocean.

These heroic women made a long and arduous journey into the unknown ultimately becoming the mothers of New France. With instruments of the epoque (soprano, viola da gamba, baroque violin, harpsichord), listen to the music and poetry of their lives: the songs of their childhood, balls held in their honour and the new, exciting music of their new home, including pieces such as Iesous Ahatonhia (Huron Carol), Ah ma voisine ("Ah, My Neighbour") and Symphonies pour les Soupers du Roy.
