Friends of Shine at Christmas: ‘I Can’t Sing!’ Christmas Carols, Raising Money for Our Chosen Charity, Aureole Music
at Parish of St Helier Assembly Room by Shine

A relaxed, supported evening of carol singing for those told they can't sing, with seasonal refreshments and profits going to Aureole Music.
Were you told at school that you couldn't sing? Is that the story you have been carrying about yourself all these years? Friends of Shine's charity Christmas event offers an evening of carols with Shine.
Studies show that singing in groups is particularly good for wellbeing, and one of the very best activities for it. Singing together releases oxytocin, a hormone linked to social bonding, trust and emotional connection.
The hosts will get everyone singing carols and Christmas songs, with the aim of showing that anyone can sing. Confident singers will be on hand for support, so no one need feel exposed, and everyone can enjoy singing in harmony at Christmas time.
Seasonal refreshments are provided, and all profits go to Aureole Music, the charity that provides music for health and wellbeing among the island's most vulnerable people, particularly those living with Parkinson's and dementia.
