Last Crapaud Crawling – Backyard Ultra
at Les Landes Race Course
A Backyard Ultra is coming to Jersey in 2027! Taking place around the Les Landes Race Course over the weekend of 18 September, this unique endurance challenge is all about consistency, strategy and seeing how long you can keep going.
The format is simple: complete a 4.167-mile (6.7056 km) trail loop every hour, on the hour. Finish before the bell and you’re back in the corral for another yard. Miss the cut-off and you’re out. The race continues until there’s only one runner left standing – the Last Crapaud Crawling!
Not ready for the full challenge? Backyard 6, 12 and 24 options are available, equating to 25, 50 and 100 miles respectively if completed successfully.
The route is fully off-road, with around 60m elevation gain per loop. Race facilities include parking, toilets, showers, water and space for camping and crews. All runners receive a Crapaud T-shirt and commemorative medal, with prizes also up for grabs.
