Norman Invasion!
Step back in time this February half-term as the Stormin’ Normans take over the Maritime Museum, bringing the drama, spectacle and stories of 1066 to life as part of MILLENIUM – 2027 European Year of the Normans.
Meet our team of historical re-enactors and discover the events surrounding the famous Battle of Hastings through thrilling demonstrations, tales from the battlefield and a fresh look at one of the most pivotal moments in Norman history. Expect sword fighting, longboats, horses and the truth behind that legendary arrow in the eye!
Packed with fascinating history, surprising discoveries and plenty of fun and funny facts, this lively, family-friendly experience promises an unforgettable half-term adventure exploring the Norman legacy.
